After the death of the most important woman in my life, I found myself not only in an emotionally vulnerable state but one of physical pain and sickness. I was experiencing such pain that the tradition of painting and silk screening became increasingly difficult. My work still continued to be about isolation and muses but now the most important one was gone along with parts of my health. The more I drew or work the more I started to think about accessibility to art and studies. The fight between illustration and fine art. When do my sentiments come across in a drawing and when are simply bright colored images. Everything I make is extremely emotionally driven, I spent sometimes months or years on a work and recycle the print like a factory worker. The images below are studies of my grandmothers home and moments or spaces that are special to me. They are studies for future collages and waiting to be manipulated. Random ideas that I figured I should illustrate myself. I remember thinking it would be fun to make buy my friend an image of Grace Jones, only to realize what I was looking for I could make. All these random drawings are personal bits of my life or those in my life, some sneak into paintings as cut up bodies, some don’t,
